State Electric Company (STELCO) has revealed that a technical problem has caused a power outage in some areas of Hulhumalé.

STELCO said in a post on X an hour ago that a technical problem had caused power outages in some areas of Hulhumalé. However, the company did not say what the technical problem was.

“The problem is being identified and resolved and we apologize for any inconvenience,” STELCO said.

While power outages were reported in some areas of Hulhumalé today, power outages in some households in Henveiru were also reported today after a cable was stolen from a STELCO transformer.
