The President’s Office today denied the allegations that ruling PNC lawmakers are being paid MVR 50,000 from Muliaage.
Main opposition MDP Chairman Fayyaz Ismail was the first to allege that Muliaage was paying MVR 50,000 to lawmakers in a bid to control them. Some newspapers later reported the story, citing reliable sources.
Chief Spokesperson at the President's Office, Heena Waleed denied the allegations in a post on X. Heena said Fayyaz's statement was a lie.
Besides Heena, some PNC MPs have also denied the allegations.
