Maldives Marketing and Public Relations (MMPRC) and Manta Air have successfully concluded a road show held in Bengaluru to promote Maldivian tourism.
The roadshow was held at Shangri-La Hotel in Bengaluru on Wednesday.
Manta today said the roadshow was aimed at increasing the number of tourists from India and to interact with people working in the Indian travel industry, which was attended by more than 150 travel agents, tour operators and members of the Indian media.
The roadshow was attended by multiple resorts including Universal, Atmosphere Hotels and Resorts, Sun Siyam Resorts, Villa Hotels and Resorts, South Palm and AAA Hotels and Resorts.
Manta Deputy CEO Ahmed Maumoon said that since Manta operates flights from Dhaalu Atoll Airport to Bengaluru in India every week, it will be easier for tourists to come to the Maldives and since it is a direct route, they can easily reach the destination they want to holiday.
Noting that India is today the fastest growing tourism market, MMPRC Managing Director Ibrahim Shiuri said that the market is very important for the country and the roadshow has become an important platform to connect with Indian markets.
