Former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, has started writing a book on his term in office as the President of the Maldives.

Speaking on Raajje TV's 'Fashaairu' program, the former President noted that many great things had been done in the past five years. He stressed that these were important to be recorded for historical accounts.

"We have done a lot of work in the last five years. A lot of this needs to be recorded for history and made public for the people. I have started writing them," he said.

The President said the book he will write will contain information about many incidents, some of which may anger the readers.

“There will be the story of COVID-19 and some other stories,” he said.

The President further added that he is writing a book about the government to answer all the talk about him and to tell what he has done.
