President's Office (PO) has stated that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's visit to India for the oath ceremony of Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi cost MVR 1.4 million.

PO said that due to the time constraints of attending the ceremony at the special invitation by PM Modi, the Maldivian delegation traveled to India for the ceremony via Sri Lanka and Dubai, with transit times of 12-14 hours.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu was accompanied by a delegation of 20 people including official delegation and support staff.
