Maldives Police Service on Sunday revealed that the three Somalians who washed ashore Noonu Atoll Vavathi was left stranded at sea.

Police further revealed that the three men have been taken to Noonu Atoll Holhudhoo, where temporary shelter has been arranged for them with the assistance of the island council.

According to a photo shared by police, they were thrown into the sea in a small engine-powered dinghy.

Police have shared a photo of the three men sitting in the area where they washed ashore.
