A man who was injured during an accident on the Hulhumalé Highway has died from his injuries.

Maldives Police Service noted that a report was received at 6:40am yesterday that a motorcyclist had swerved and hit the fences on the highway intersection.

The Sri Lankan man who was injured in the incident was admitted to the Hulhumalé Hospital but died while being treated at the ADK Hospital for further treatment.

An ADK Hospital official told One Online that the man died at 11:43am today. However, no information was released on the injuries sustained by the man.

Police are investigating the incident.
