Ooredoo Maldives has presented a special plaque to the President of N. Landhoo Council to commemorate the island becoming the first digital island under Ooredoo Maldives.
The plaque was presented by Ooredoo's Chief Commercial Officer Hussein Niyaz.
Ooredoo stated that the title of the Maldives' first digital island was awarded to Landhoo as part of the company's Digital Maldives, Powered by 5G campaign, in conjunction with World Telecommunication Day. The project has highlighted Ooredoo's efforts to promote digital inclusion and empowerment in various parts of the country.
Ooredoo further stated that it will work in collaboration with the Landhoo Council to bring revolutionary changes to the island's social and economic landscape.
The goal of the Ooredoo Digital Island program is to promote and create additional pathways for the development of critical sectors such as healthcare, education, and business through strategic partnerships and innovative digital solutions.
