In a special operation conducted by the Sri Lankan security forces following the string of bombing on Sunday, three people have been arrested with swords, a hand grenade and suspected explosives.

Sri Lankan authorities said that the three people were arrested with a lot of hand-detonate explosives along with six swords and 21 hand grenades. They also include explosives made in Sri Lanka.

Police spokesperson said that the arrests were made in Mutwal according to media reports.

Over 360 people have died as a result of the Sunday bombings and hundreds more in the hospitals. The Defence Ministry of Sri Lanka has said that the attack was carried out by Sri Lanka’s Tauheed Group. However, IS have claimed responsibility via a video after the statement was made.

While the Sri Lankan security forces have discovered a number of explosives since Sunday’s attack, Indian Intelligence has said that there is a chance of further attacks.
