Sri Lankans protesting near President Gotabaya Rajapaksa's office have demanded justice for the victims of the Islamic-State inspired 2019 Easter Sunday attack that killed more than 260 people.

Hundred of people lit candles in remembrance of the victims on Sunday at Colombo’s main esplanade where protestors have been demonstrating for over a week calling for resignation of the President.

The protestors demanded the government uncover what they have called the real conspirators behind the attack.

Political unrest and tensions remain high in Sri Lanka as the country undergoes one of the worst economic crises on the brink of bankruptcy.
