Sri Lanka’s Education Ministry has decided to close the schools until 29 April.
Following the string of attacks on Sunday, it was initially decided to close the schools for two days. However, things have not calmed down in the country.
While Sri Lankan authorities have declared curfews in the country at different times over the past three days, a state of emergency was declared in the country yesterday.
Since the eight explosive attacks on Sunday, IEDs have been discovered in different parts of the country. And media reports say that there is a chance that more of these devices could be discovered in different parts of the country. And security forces are on the highest alert since they learned of vehicles carrying explosives.
