The indefinite curfew declared by Sri Lankan authorities following the series bombings in the country yesterday has been lifted.
A tweet sent out by the Maldivian Embassy in Sri Lanka saying that the curfew was lifted at 6 a.m. this morning.
Moments ago, a Maldivian national living in Sri Lanka, Ali Shimree told One Online that he went out this morning on and the city is very quiet but there are a few people are out and about.
As the death toll from yesterday’s string of attacks are climbing close to 300, many more are at the hospitals seeking treatment.
Officials have said that some of that attacks yesterday were suicide bombings while some media outlets have reported that 24 arrests have been made in connection with the attacks.
