An explosion has gone off near the Dehiwala Zoo, a district where a number of Maldivians live in.

A possible 7th attack has been targeted towards a motel named New Tropical Inn in the string of explosions.

Ali Shimree, living in the area with his family, confirmed the explosion to One Online saying that they heard the loud explosion.

He said that the explosion took place about five minutes of driving time away from his house.

The Maldivian Embassy in Sri Lanka said that they are closely monitoring the situation and so far there have been no confirmed reports of any deaths or injuries of a Maldivian national.
