MDP candidate for Thimarafushi constituency in the recent parliament election, Mohamed Mustafa, has said that all of MDP aside from the former President Mohamed Nasheed, worked against him during the election.

At the last election, the Thimarafushi constituency was won by the Jumhoory Party (JP) candidate, Abdulla Riyaz.

In a tweet he sent out today, Mustafa said that the people of the country is aware that MDP worked to make sure he was not elected and the party has to take responsibility for his loss.

Mustafa said that it was not his fault that he did not get elected and his property should not be taken to the state. He said that if any money is owed to the state, he would pay it back.
