The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has arranged for free bus and ferry services for persons with disabilities.

This was announced in a statement released by the company today. The company reiterated that the purpose of this move was in an effort to empower persons with disabilities and to provide an ease in services rendered.

MTCC revealed that any person who is registered under the National Social Protection Agency (NSPA) and carried the card with them will receive free services from the company.

The company also stated that all buses and ferries of the company have been built in a way that aids persons with disabilities -especially for the convenience of getting on and off for those with physical disabilities.  

MTCC revealed that empowering and providing opportunities for persons with disabilities is a high priority of the company.
