Maldives Customs Service has seized a large number of idolatry statues that were brought to the Maldives by a group of Indian nationals.

Media Official of the Customs Service, Aishath Vilinee, told One Online that 28 idols imported tonight were seized by the Custom Service.

Vilinee said that Customs seized 27 small idolatry statues along with a larger statue at Velana International Airport.

She said that further details on the case will be presented to the press tomorrow.
