Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has said that former President. Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, is to be kept in observation for 24 hours under doctor’s advisement.

Deputy CEO of IGMH Mohamed Mufeed has informed One Online that President Yameen has been admitted for 24 hours in the cardiology department.

Mufeed had not revealed further information on President Yameen’s condition.

President Yameen had been transferred to IGMH to be consulted and treated at the cardiology department. President Yameen’s legal team has informed One Online that the only person notified of President Yameen’s transfer was former First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim.

Upon receiving the news that he had been taken to IGMH, several supporters of President Yameen had gathered near the Hospital. While Police had unleashed pepper spray on the crowd of supporters, interim President of the People’s National Congress (PNC), Abdul Raheem Abdulla had received an injury on his arm.
