Former President Abdulla Yameen has been summoned by the Presidential Commission on Enforced Disappearances and Deaths, as part of their investigation into the forced disappearance of journalist Ahmed Rilwan.
President Yameen has been summoned for next Tuesday.
Member of the commission, Misbah Abbas revealed to "One Online" that President Yameen has been summoned since the commission wants to question him regarding the case of Rilwan. However, no further details were provided.
An investigative report previously published by the commission noted that Rilwan was forced into a car in Hulhumale', and later taken aboard a dingy. He was later decapitated on the dingy, and his body thrown off into the sea.
A foreign expert began working with the commission, assisting their investigation since last November.
The commission previously said that a conclusive report of their investigation will be published before the end of the year.
