Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said that the ABC works of the runway at Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll Faresmaathoda Airport has been completed.

Taking to Twitter this morning, MTCC said that the ABC and subgrade works have been completed and 81 percent of the steel structure assembly of the Airport Terminal has been completed.

Faresmaathoda Airport Developed Project was contracted to MTCC on design and build basis in November 2021 for MVR 144.8 million.

The project entails the development of a 1,200-meter long runway, a taxiway, apron and service roads.
