Azim: MTCC will be capable of constructing bridges in two years

CEO of the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) Adam Azim has said that within two years, MTCC will be capable of constructing bridges.

Speaking on Sun TV last night, Azim said that the President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih wants to make MTCC a company that can build large scale bridges and there is no doubt that the company can build various sizes of bridges within two years.

He said that bridge constructions are large scale projects and the MTCC already runs large projects in the atolls. And the company has the President's support in developing the company further to that point.

Azim said that MTCC was running on a loss before the current administration took office and now, with the President's advice, MTCC has been one of the top performing companies even during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He also noted that the MTCC made the biggest profits during the current administration.
