Demand for Addu increases, two more flights added

National Airline Maldivian Aero has added two more flights to Addu City due to the increased demand to the airport.

Deputy Managing Director of Island Aviation, Aishath Jennifer today said that they have been increasing the number of flights operated domestically based on demand.

And so, 11 Airbus flights have been held to Gan this year so far and two more flights are set for Addu City before the end of the year.

Currently, there are five flights daily to Addu.

Maldivian flies to 15 airports domestically. And with some of the planes in their fleet being grounded for repairs and maintenance, they have been using planes from two private airline companies, Manta Air and Villa Air.
