The special workshop is underway to train people to a gender sensitive media environment in the Maldives.
Organized by the Addu Women's Association and the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services, the workshop began on 21 November aiming to create equality in digital media, film and entertainment.
A total of 33 participants took part in the five-day workshop; all Maldivians, including government employees in communication and media departments.
The workshop had three Indian Professors, Ambrish Saksena, Jaishry Jethuvaney and Seema Goyal as additional trainers.
The closing ceremony saw the participants receive certificates of completion from the Special Guest, the Head of United Nations Population Fund (UNPF), Shahida Ibrahim.
