Maldives Transport and Contracting Company MTCC has said that a large portion of the work on design and build of Seenu Hulhudhoo Harbour has been completed.
Taking to Twitter this morning, MTCC said that an overall 68 percent of the project has been completed and the installation of precast concrete blocks and concrete works required for the quay wall are currently ongoing at the project site.
Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure contracted the project to MTCC on 1 March 2020 and the MTCC mobilized the project in August 2020.
The project entails a harbor of 88,623 cubic meters, 114 meters of outer sea wall, 624 meters of revetment, 742 meters of inner harbor along with a bridge that is nine meters long and four meters wide. The contract also includes 2,250 square meters of pavement with the installation of port and harbor lights.
MTCC is contracted to complete the project within 375 days for MVR 65.1 million.
