Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has begun the installation of the precast concrete blocks required for the construction of the quay wall at the old harbor of Hithadhoo, Addu City.

MTCC mobilized the project on 2 April 2021.

The project entails dredging 234,297 cubic meters for depth, 800 meters of outer sea wall, 284 meters of inner sea wall, 1,420 square meters of pavement along with the installation of harbor and port lights.

Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure contracted the project to MTCC FOR MVR 52.4 million to be completed within 364 days.
