A man has been arrested for the attack on the former CEO of DhiFM, Masood Hilmee.

Masood who lives in Laamu Atoll Fonadhoo was attacked last night as he was out driving on his motorcycle with his wife and a video of the attack has hit social media that shows the attacker with a steel pipe.

While the incident was reported to the Maldives Police Service at 9:13 p.m. last night, a Police Media Official said that a 36-year-old suspect was arrested with a court order late last night.

The former DhiFM CEO sought treatment at the Fonadhoo Health Center to the injuries to the arm he raised to defend himself.
