Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has said that all flats development under the Hiyaa Project, inaugurated by the former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom for the Second Phase of the Hulhumale' development, will be receiving water and electricity by 17 August 2021.
Managing Director of HDC, Suhail Ahmed told One Online that all the flats in the 25-story buildings in the Hiyaa Project will electricity by the end of 17 August and there will be no change to that date. He made the remark addressing the speculation that there have been delays in connecting utilities to the Hiyaa Project flats.
Suhail said that once the electrical utility is connected, the opportunity will be opened to those who are receiving keys to the flats to come in and complete the interior finishing.
HDC is currently in the process of presenting the keys to the winners of the 6,720 flats in the Hiyaa Project.
The Managing Director of HDC said that the awarding of the keys are ongoing and agreements will be signed today as well and there has been no delays in that process either.
