A fuel boat has sunk in the sea outside Hulhumale' Phase 2.

MNDF said that they are providing assistance to the vessel traveling with three people that started sinking after taking in water due to the turbulent sea.

They said that all three on board have been taken on board a safari yacht nearby and are all in good health.

Due to the severe weather conditions with strong winds and rough seas this week, relevant authorities have advised caution in traveling.

While the MET Office has issued a Yellow Weather Alert to various parts of the country, an Orange Weather Alert has been issued to Addu City and Fuvahmulah City.
