President Solih has said that the opportunity to secure international level employment for Maldivians is through proper education and training.

President Solih addressed Maldivian nationals residing in UAE during his official visit to the country. He said that the employment of numerous Maldivian nationals in UAE shows that, with proper education and training Maldivians have the opportunity to secure international level employment. The President also noted that there are various Maldivian employees in the fields of aviation, export and import, education, the resort industry as well as working in five-star hotels in the UAE.

President Solih noted that Maldives had been relatively isolated in many ways at the time he took office. In regards to that, he assured that the policy of his administration will be focused within the constitution and in compliance with international agreements and regulations. He further said that Maldives will continue to strengthen ties with any nation that implements justice.

President Solih further noted that the UAE implementing 30 day visa-on-arrival policy for visiting Maldivian nationals is an indication of UAE's of the close brotherly relations with Maldives.

This current official visit of President Solih is by the royal invitation of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of Armed Forces of the UAE.
