Popular television presenter Mariyam Waheeda has been appointed the Honorary Consul of Sweden.

The certificate of appointment was presented to Mariyam Waheeda by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdullah Shahid. The Minister further discussed ways to strengthen ties with Sweden with Mariyam Waheeda.

The popular TV presenter was also appointed as an ambassador to Public Service Media (PSM) earlier this week.
