Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said that the Faafu Atoll Dharanboodhoo harbor development project is moving forward at a fast pace.

The company said that 25 percent of the project has now been completed. And 81 percent of the dredging work has been completed.

The project entails 140 meters of outer sea wall, 196 meters of inner sea wall, 64 meters of revetment, ramp development 2,500 square meters of pavement at the arbor area and the installation of harbor lights according to MTCC.

The project worth MVR 38.2 million was contracted to MTCC by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure and the project was mobilized on 27 May 2020.
