50 percent of Fehendhoo harbor project completed

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said that 50 percent of the Baa Atoll Fehendhoo harbor development project has been completed.

The company said that they are currently working on bringing in the concrete and the stones required for the inner sea wall and 31 percent of that process have been completed as well.

As part of the project, an area of 25,000 cubic meters would be developed for the harbor with a harbor -basin of 18,500 cubic meters, 130 meter-breakwater, 282 meters of revetment and 214 meters of key wall.

The project also entails a ramp, harbor lights and jetty lights.

MTCC was contracted the project by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure for MVR 49.6 million and the project began on 10 November 2019.
