Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has been contracted to complete the phase two of the road development project in Raa Atoll Dhuvaafaru.

MTCC said that the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure contracted the project on Thursday.

The agreement for the project was signed by the Director General of the Planning Ministry, Fathimath Shaana Gafoor and the CEO of MTCC, Adam Solih.

Phase two of the Dhuvaarafu road development project entails the development of a 4,960 square meters area for pedestrians on foot and an area of 17,790 square meters for vehicles along with underground cable installations and traffic sign installations.

The project worth MVR 37.8 million is contracted to be completed within 300 days. The first phase of the project, too, was completed by MTCC.
