A woman has been arrested in Feydhoo, Addu City for violating the guideline of the Health Protection Agency (HPA).

Maldives Police Service said that they arrested a 35-year-old Maldivian woman with a court order and woman has been remanded by the court to be kept at a location decided by the Home Ministry for 15 days.

Police did not reveal the exaction violation of the guideline that led to the arrest.

Few people have been arrested with court orders for violating the HPA guidelines in the past as well. And so, a man who traveled from Male’ City to Raa Atoll Hulhudhuffaaru on 15 July 2020 was arrested for violating home quarantine regulations.
