National airline, Maldivian, has prepared to begin flights between Addu City and Kulhudhuffushi City.
A press statement by the airline said that these flights have been included in this week’s schedule. And so, Maldivian will be flying from Kulhudhuffushi to Addu Gan Airport on Thursday and from Addu Gan to Kulhudhuffushi City on Saturday.
The one-way ticket on the flights on this new route is priced at MVR 1,444. These flights are also set to have a transit stop at Velana International Airport for refueling where passengers will remain on the flight.
Talking to One Online, the Public Relations and Communication Manager of Maldivian Aero, Moosa Waseem said that the flights will begin on Thursday this week.
Maldivian said that the initiative of this new flights route is being led by the Economic Ministry to unite the two economic zones.
The statement from Maldivian said that they are also set to begin flight operations to Maavarulu Airport as well. The airline noted that the domestic flights in the country are being resumed following the suspension amid the COVID-19 lock down.
And so, flights are scheduled to Laamu Atoll Kahdhoo from Baa Atoll Dharavandhoo, Haa Dhaalu Hanimaadhoo and Thaa Atoll Thimarafushi.
