Two people have been arrested for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old boy.

Maldives Police Service said that the sexual harassment and assault of a 16-year-old boy was reported to the North Police Division on 4 June 2020.

Police said that inquiry so far has learned that the child has become a victim of sexual assault on numerous occasions over multiple days.

And on Wednesday, 9 June, two men of the ages 28 and 37 were arrested with a court order. Police said that case is being investigated further.
