Maldives Police Service has started investigating a man who runs Quran classes for sexual abuse of a number of boys under the age of 18.

Police said that the case was reported to the North Police Division on Saturday involves a 28-year-old man but no arrests have been made in the case so far.

As the police continues to investigate further into the case; details such as the Atoll and Island of the suspect and the victims are concealed due to the sensitive nature of the case involving minors.

Police said that cases regarding children are very serious cases.
