Three patients who tested positive during random sampling have gone missing within the community.
Speaking at the National Emergency Operation Center (NEOC) press conference, Spokesperson Mohamed Mabrook Abdul Aziz said that police have been informed after being unable to contact seven foreigners who were among the random sample collection to study the spread of COVID-19 in the community.
Mabrook said that four of the seven people were living in containment sites and the other three are from three different addresses.
“HPA informed the police and four of these people have been found. And remaining three people still haven’t been found.” Mabrook said.
He said that a contact number and address is noted down when samples are collected and the search for the missing people began when they were not found at the addresses given.
Mabrook said that if the missing people are not found through police efforts, their personal information will be released in an attempt to find them under the authority of the Director General of Health, Maimoona Abubakur.
