National Airline Maldivian has imported the largest shipment of cargo they have brought to the country so far.

On board the flight of Maldivian that arrived from Chennai, India, last night, the airline brought 18801 kilograms of goods for regular use.

The airline said that during this time of crisis amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the airline will continue working with local businesses to provide goods to the public.

While a national health emergency has been declared with a nationwide lock down, both people in the capital and the atolls are having trouble getting goods.
