Sri Lanka extends curfew to 6 a.m. on Friday

The curfew in effect in Sri Lanka amid the COVID-19 pandemic has been extended for a second time.

Sri Lankan government extended the curfew initially to 6 a.m. this Tuesday on 22 March. However, the authorities have said that the curfew will be in effect in Colombo, Gampaha and Puttalam from 12 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. on Friday.

Maldivian Foreign Ministry and the Maldivian High Commission in Sri Lanka has advised the Maldivian citizens living in Sri Lanka to follow the instructions of the Sri Lankan authorities.
