As part of the steps being taken following the COVID-19 pandemic, the State Electric Company (STELCO) has decided to move the employees with high risk at their front desk to positions at their clerical office.

The company announced the decision on Twitter.

And so, the electric company is going to move their high-risk employees such as pregnant women, staff with respiratory issues and those seeking treatment for chronic illness. The company also includes parents with children under two years in this group.

STELCO said that the employees in this category will be working at other departments of the company as opposed to the Front Desk. The company said that they are no longer dealing with customers directly.

The company said that they will be taking all precautions for the safety of the public.
