STELCO has launched a drawing competition to mark Engineers' Day 2026 under the theme "STELCO Engineers."

The competition is open until 15 August, with participants required to submit drawings highlighting the work of STELCO's engineers. The company said the competition aims to showcase engineering fields such as electrical, mechanical, civil, software, renewable energy, and water and sewerage engineering.

There are two age categories: 5–10 years and 11–16 years.

Cash prizes include MVR 2,500 for first place, MVR 1,500 for second, and MVR 1,000 for third. Entries placed fourth to tenth will each receive MVR 500.

Submissions close at 4:00 p.m. on 15 August. STELCO said the winning artwork will be used as the official backdrop for its Engineers' Day celebrations. Further information is available by calling 3338239.
