A man who jumped off a dinghy into the ocean has been found dead underwater

MNDF said that after a man jumped off a dinghy traveling with ten people, his body was found by Coast Guard divers involved in the search about 44 meters under water.

The deceased has been confirmed as 33-year-old Ahmed Anees from Male’ Hiyaa 13-02-01. So far it is unclear as to why he jumped off outside the lagoon of Gulhu Falhu.

The body of the deceased was brought to ADK Hospital.
