A police officer has saved a drowning Nepalese that went swimming at Vilimale'.

Maldives Police Service said that a 39-year-old Nepalese who went swimming at the Vilimale' Beach had a drowning incident and was taken to Vilimale' Hospital. The incident was reported to the police at 5:41 p.m. today and the man is now stable.

The drowning victim was saved by a police officer in the area. When he was rescued, the man was in the towards the Vilimale' Boat Yard, according to the police.
