A Physiotherapist at the Physiotherapy Department of Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has been suspended following allegations of an attempt to sexually assault a female patient.

Talking to One Online, the Media Officer of IGMH said that the physiotherapist involved in the case filed with the police on 9 October will be suspended until the investigation is completed.

IGMH Media Official said that while the case is of sexual advances, it is not a case of an attempted rape.

The allegations are being made against a 28-year-old Indian national who made sexual advances on a 19-year-old patient according to the Maldives Police Service.

Yesterday, Police told One Online that no arrests have been made so far as the investigation is ongoing.
