A woman under the influence have been taken into custody and searched to find a stolen mobile phone.

Maldives Police Service said that a woman believed to be under the influence of narcotics were taken into police custody around 7:34 p.m. last night near the junction of Majeedhee Magu and Maaveyo Magu.

Police have confirmed that it was a 34-year-old woman and she was searched to find a mobile phone reported stolen on 19 September 2019.

The case is being investigated further.
