Hithadhoo Regional Hospital has said that they are working on sending the man who was discovered with a number of injuries in Maradhoo, Addu City, to Male’ City for further treatment.

Talking to One Online, Acting Head of Hithadhoo Regional, Sharaf Saadhaath said that the man tortured and disposed is not in critical condition. The man is primarily being treated for the injuries to his head and is currently in recovery.

Sharaf said that doctors want to see if there is any internal damage to the head. And since CT Scans are currently not available at the hospital, the patient will be sent to Male’ City today for further treatment.

As Aasandha is being arranged, Sharaf said that the patient will be sent off later in the afternoon.

The man found tortured in Maradhoo has been confirmed as a young man from the Gaafu Alifu/Dhaalu Atoll.

Yesterday, the Maldives Police Service said that the discovery of the man was reported around 3:30 p.m. yesterday.
