Two people pulled out by tide lands in Hulhumale' after ten hours

Two people pulled out by the tide while out on a canoe off K. Vilingili around 5 p.m. yesterday has landed at Hulhumale' at 3:10 a.m.

Marine Police and the Coast Guard were searching for the two men of 20 and 33 years of age lost on an orange colour canoe since yesterday afternoon.

Maldives Police Service said that they are both in good health but are going to consult a doctor.

Police said that they were caught in a gust of wind and and strong tide which caused to lose control. And when the current took them to towards the swimming track area of Hulhumale', they swam ashore.

Authorities have warned that sea travel is unsafe these days due to unpredictable weather.
