Statistics issued by Traffic Management of the Maldives Police Service has shown traffic stickers on 460 vehicles for parking violations between 27 July and 2 August along with 70 vehicle tows.

In the same time period, 49 traffic collisions took place with 11 people injured. Police have seized the driving license of eight people regarding these collisions.

Police also looked into 48 cases of driving without the driver’s license in possession and 63 cases of license-less drivers who never acquired it along with 16 cases of reckless driving in violation of traffic signs.

Statistics also recorded 42 cases of speeding, 20 cases of driving while on the phone, driving while smoking a long with ten cases of excessive talking while driving.
