President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that a maximum of 25 percent of the properties developed under the massive project carried out by UAE's Eagle Hills in Rasmalé will be allocated to citizens of any single country.

Speaking on the President's Office podcast "The Pulse," the President stated today that a real estate law will be introduced shortly to implement this. He also noted that laws clearly specify that purchasing property in the Maldives does not grant Maldivian citizenship.

The President highlighted that Israeli citizens will not be able to engage in any transactions through this project. He stated, "We have decided that citizens of any country can make up a maximum of 25 percent. You see, nationals of a single country cannot exceed that. And especially, Israeli people cannot stay."

The President stated that this will not be done solely by looking at passports. Pointing out that there are other systems to verify this, he stated that the opportunity will be legally blocked for Israelis.

Although limits are set for foreigners, the President stated that there will be no limits for Maldivians purchasing property. Referring to the prices of Rasmalé properties, the President stated that a 1,000-square-foot unit will be available for approximately $600,000.

The President said, "Among us, many middle-income Maldivian citizens, and many citizens above the middle-income level, are people who earn enough income to buy a property like this." Therefore, if Maldivians wish, they can buy all the properties and also have the opportunity to sell them back to the government, the President said.
