Today's sitting of the People's Majlis has been postponed to 11:00 AM.

The Parliament Secretariat informed One Online that the session, originally scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM, was delayed due to a power outage at the parliament building.

Only two items were on today's agenda: approving the journal and continuing the debate on the amendment to the Criminal Procedure Act, submitted by PNC Funadhoo MP Mohamed Mamdhooh on behalf of the government.

Despite the delay in the main sitting, several parliamentary committees are still scheduled to convene today, with six meetings across five committees agendaed to carry out important work.
